A building and its environs is a fundamentally concrete expression. But how a building makes us feel is distinctly inconcrete. At some elemental level, architecture is atmosphere. And certain atmospheres move us more than others - they affect the senses so deeply they shape our memories.

You can’t guarantee an atmospheric building but you can strive for one. Our approach combines sincere curiosity, deep knowledge of cultural history, and substantial material insights. Working this way not only ensures a building that will withstand the rigors of time, it gives us the best chance of creating an emotional quality that will endure.

About

Julius Nielsen OFFICE was founded in 2022 following several years of significant contributions to some of Denmark’s most renowned architectural practices. Julius has served as a teacher and guest lecturer at the Royal Danish Academy – School of Architecture in Copenhagen. The office is engaged in a variety of projects, ranging from hardware and furniture to interiors and buildings and always welcomes the offer to take on new challenges.
